CSR -Corporate Social Responsibility

We are a family owned company with 100% Polish capital. We feel part of the community in which we operate. Since the very beginning, our employees have been actively involved in projects of social, local, and educational importance. As part of our pro bono work, we assist individuals, foundations, associations, non-profit organisations, cities, and municipalities.
ACTIVITIES FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
Our activities in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility started many years ago, when President Tadeusz Skłodowski and a group of entrepreneurs from Marki created the Mareckie Stowarzyszenie Gospodarcze (Marki Economic Association), which organises, among others: Family Spartakiad, Marki Business Meetings or supports other activities in the city, such as the Marki Night Run and the Bercik Rally. After the outbreak of war in Ukraine, the Skłodowscy Law Firm became heavily involved in organisational and financial support for the activities of MSG, which set up a place of refuge for nearly 50 refugees called the Haven of Hope (Przystań Nadzieja). The creation of a huge warehouse with supplies for refugees is also one of the elements when we were able to get involved in the activity of MSG and the city of Marki.
Each year we take part in the Santa Claus Lives in Marki and Easter Bunny Lives in Marki initiatives, which prepare gift bags of food and basic necessities for children and senior citizens during the festive season.
We seek to support the education of young people and employees. Among others, we contribute to the Capuchin Foundation, which teaches children and young people, as well as the Puntana Foundation, which organises and promotes table tennis classes in the Masovian region, with the personal involvement of the President, Sr. Tadeusz Skłodowski. We do not forget the Karol Borchardt Foundation, it is always worthwhile to support education through the sea.
EMPLOYEE PROGRAMMES
Corporate Social Responsibility is also about supporting our employees and colleagues. We are driven by an organisational culture that sets rules of conduct. Our employees can count on equal treatment in the workplace, i.e. equal opportunities, equal terms and conditions of employment, promotion, and access to training to improve their professional qualifications, no matter their age, gender, disability, race, religious beliefs, nationality, or sexual orientation.
We constantly invest in the development of our employees, because the skills and knowledge of both the partners of our law firm and its employees guarantee the highest level of services and assistance to our Clients. Throughout the year, training is provided to develop the skills of staff, taking into account their current needs and development opportunities.
The company has launched Multisport cards for employees subsidised by the Company Social Benefits Fund. Such a sports programme is available to all employees of the company with an employment contract.
We support all sporting initiatives in which our employees wish to take part, e.g. the Runmageddon team or representation in the Marki Night Run and the Warsaw Half Marathon, etc.
We also support employees' innovative ideas through the Skłodziaki Incentive Programme, where Skłodowscy employees can submit their ideas for improving the company's processes or introducing innovative solutions, which are then rewarded if implemented. The programme also rewards the timely completion of important tasks for the company, as well as improvements in profitability, quality and timeliness of work performed.
PRO-ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITIES
Environmental protection is a priority for us, and this is why we have always built our value on knowledge and information systems. The Client Portal that we offer our clients facilitates the management of the company, and its functionalities assure proper supervision and management. A software that completely eliminates hard copy workflows and introduces the client to smart accounting.

Our company has also purchased its first zero-emission electric car, which employees use to move between branches and commute to clients. Combined with photovoltaic panels on the roof, this is quite a cost-effective measure. To reduce CO2 emissions, our company promotes remote working, encourages car sharing on the way to work and promotes cycling.

We have also moved largely to online consultations and meetings with our clients and partners.

In an age of universal access to information, we have been sharing knowledge for years. Weekly LIVE broadcasts for people following our social media gather hundreds of participants in front of their computers looking for legal and tax support without having to leave home.

Participation in our training courses is free of charge, but we ask participants to make discretionary donations to a charity of their choice and, of course, we promote the account of the Marki Economic Association, which is a public benefit organisation, or the Karol Borchardt Foundation, which encourages young people to pursue sailing.
